FIFTY-Fifth CLASS
REUNION...
A letter to the alumni from your
Committee...
A huge "thank you" to all of you who attended the reunion and made it
the success we had hoped for!
The cocktail party was attended strongly and made it more fun. We had a
good time chatting
with each other, and catching up on all the news. We
even stayed later than usual! If you didn't come, you need to know that
is a casual evening and all that you need to bring is what you want to
drink. We have glasses & ice and snacks and if you don't bring anything,
there is usually something there for you to drink. We provide "mix".
The dinner was also a great success. We had invited the class of '55 to
join us and they responded well. The DJ was great and played all of our
old favorites. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. There
was a little bit of dancing by those who are still young enough to do
it!
The picnic was perfect. We enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats with
all the "fixings", as well as the delicious dishes that were brought.
Larry Wright brought his bean bag game and there was a tournament with a
blue ribbon going to Rich Miller and a red ribbon for second! Everyone
enjoyed themselves and we expect more to come next year.
We had many that came from far away. Angela Bingamon Ward came from
Texas as did Lou Malloy and his wife. Dale Moore came from Colorado.
Nancy Frieden Tew came from Florida. Ellen McCord McCarthy came from
Chicago. Westa Blair VanHeiningen and her husband came from Arizona. As
we get older, we understand that it is hard to make the trip, but you
never know when we will plan the last one! If you missed this one, be
sure to sign up for the next one. We have had to cut costs, so we have
decided to e-mail invitations to those that we have addresses. We will
probably eliminate those that have not responded in 55 years. Even if
you can't make it, drop us a line and let us know that you are
interested.
